Reading Greek Tragedy: A Workshop on Oedipus the King

A workshop on Sophocles’ Oedipus the King open to all Harvard College students. Led by Paul O’Mahony, Artistic Director of Reading Greek Tragedy Online and Out of Chaos Theatre, the workshop will focus on the final exchange between Oedipus and Jocasta in this famous and influential tragedy. Participants will look at the different choices actors can make and how these dramatically affect the play. There will be practical exercises to help unlock the text in performance. All participants will perform and also have the opportunity to direct each other.
